Roop Kund Trekking Tour

Roopkund Trek

Roopkund is situated in Chamoli district of garhwal. The road head for roopkund is lohajung 155km from Almora, 217km from Nainital and 235km from Kathgodam. Roopkund situated at a height of 5029m in the lap of Trishuli massif. This area is usually called is the 'mystery lake', since human skeletons and remains of horses from the poleolithic age were found here. The lake is surrounded by rock-strewn glacier and snow clad peaks. The starting point of the trek is lohajung, The trek of Roopkund passes through lushgreen grassy land and conifer forest clining into the sloper of hills. The trek thereafter winds its way along the pindar river. Bedni bugyal and Bhagwawasa are the most beautiful places in this trek. You must found lots of "Bramhakamal" near Bhawawara.

Mysterious Roop Kund Trek


Day 01: Flight to India (New Delhi)
You arrive in Delhi by international flight. After a traditional 'Swagat' (Welcome) our representatives would assist you at the airport and to our hotel for check in and overnight stay.


Day 02: New Delhi
Breakfast at the Coffee shop. Rest of the morning at leisure. You will be taken on a guided tour of Delhi, beginning with a morning sightseeing trip to Old Delhi and followed by visits to the 1648 Red Fort, India's largest mosque - Jama Masjid and Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat. Afternoon tour includes visits to India Gate, President's House, Humayun's Tomb, Lotus Temple and Qutab Minar. Overnight stay at hotel.


Day 03: Delhi-Haridwar (200Kms / 05hrs)
In the morning, we will drive to Haridwar. Haridwar is the gateway to the four pilgrimages in the Uttrakhand region and is located on the foothills of Shivaliks. It is on the banks of River Ganges. The River Ganges leaves the mountains and enters the plains with Haridwar being the first major town on the plains. Though the Ganges does not lose its rapids completely nevertheless it becomes very quite and calm here. The city acquires a unique charm in the evening when the ghats become breathtakingly beautiful with thousands of Diyas and Marigold floating in the waters of Ganges. We visit various places like Mansa Devi temple, Sapt Rishi, Daksha Mahadev temple etc. In the evening we will visit Har Ki Pauri again. In the evening a Maha Aarti is performed on this ghat. Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 04: Haridwar - Mundoli (285 kms / 10 hrs )
After an early breakfast Drive to the small hamlet of Mundoli (2134m), Lunch enroute to Mudoli, We arrive Mudoli where the trek begins. Dinner and Overnight in Guest House / Tents.


Day 05: Mundoli-Bekhal Tal (8 Kms / 5-7 hrs walking)
Post breakfast begin the trek with packed lunch, Cross the Lahjung pass ( 2250m ) and continue to Bekhal Tal- a small lake amidst picturesque surroundings. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Camp.


Day 06: Bekhal Tal - Wan ( 10 Kms / 6-8 hrs walking )
Post breakfast Continue the trek with packed lunch to Wan village. The trail takes you via another small lake- Brahm Tal. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Camp / Guest house at Wan.( 2340m ).

Day 07: Wan - Bedni Bugyal
Post breakfast begin the uphill trek and reach the 'Bugyals' (high altitude meadows) of Bedini ( 3354m )- a beautiful location with magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. Lunch enroute Dinner and Overnight at the Camp.


Day 08: Bedni Bugyal
Day to explore the surroundings, which is bound to be an experience to be remembered. (Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea and Dinner and Overnight stay in the Camp.)


Day 09: Bedni-Baguabasa . ( 7 Kms / 3-4 hrs walking )
Post breakfast trek through the undulating grasslands to reach Baguabasa (3380m). Lunch enroute. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Camp.


Day 10: Roopkund excursion (8-10 hrs walking )
Post breakfast start trek with packed lunch to the mysterious 'Pond of Beauty'- Roop Kund (5029m), close to the base of the Trishul (7120m) and Nanda Ghungti (6310m) Peaks. Roopkund the mystery lake, It was a lake that, a large number of Human bones were found and through anthropologists are still working on its significance. The lake however is nestled amidst a panoramic mountain scenery. Return to camp at Baguabasa for Dinner and overnight stay.


Day 11: Baguabasa - Wan (6-8 hrs walking )
Post breakfast Retrace the route back to Wan with pack lunch. Dinner and Overnight stay in Guest House / Tents.


Day 12: Wan - Mundoli ( 6-8 hrs walking )
Post breakfast Continue downhill to Mundoli taking a direct route with packed lunch. Dinner and Overnight stay in Guest House / Tents.


Day 13: Mundoli - Haridwar
Morning after breakfast drive to reach Haridwar, Arrive Haridwar by late afternoon and and check in at your hotel, Lunch enroute, In the evening perform the Aarti on Har Ki Pauri. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.


Day 14: Haridwar - Delhi (200Kms / 4-5hrs)
After breakfast we visit Har ki pauri and then go to Chandi Devi by Cable car After lunch we proceed to Delhi. Arrive Delhi & Check-in at your hotel for Short stay.


Day 15: Depart Delhi
